Denmark) Research area focus Endocrinology and Metabolism Purpose The Novo Nordisk Foundation calls for applications within basic and clinical research within the endocrine system and metabolism relating to cellular energy homeostasis. The objective is to promote Nordic research at the highest international level to carry out research projects of 1-3 years duration. Eligibility Geography and institutions The administrating institution must be:   }   A university, hospital or other non-profit research institution in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, or Sweden.   The main applicant must be anchored in: The research activities applied for must take place at: Seniority Applicants must be experienced independent researchers, who have already established their own line of research. The applicant must be the clear driver of the project. Funding A total of up to DKK 103 million is available for projects lasting from 1 to 3 years. Projects of up to DKK 4.5 million can be applied for with a yearly maximum budget of DKK 1.5 million. The budget allocated to the first year can be higher than DKK 1.5 million if equipment purchases are required for the project. The application must describe a clearly defined research project with an appropriate budget. Hormone regulation in women’s health In this application round there will be a special emphasis on research projects related to understanding the complexities and the regulation of hormones that are crucial to influence different aspects of women’s health, both at the molecular, cellular and physiological level. DKK 11 million are earmarked for projects within the strategic focused theme ‘Hormone regulation in women’s health.’ Applications submitted as part of the special theme must still be within the scientific scope of the call to be eligible. Støtter ikke

Seniority Applications from Ph.D. students and postdocs will not be taken into consideration. Salary of the grantee cannot be covered by this grant. The applicant must be guaranteed her/his own salary for the entire project period. Co-applicants Co-applicants are not allowed within this call.

Beskrivelse

Grund- og klinisk forskning i det endokrine system og stofskifte. Op til 4 mio. kr. per projekt. For erfarne, uafhængige forskere ved nordiske institutioner (ikke ph.d.-studerende/postdocs). Varighed: 1-3 år.
