Styrelsen skaber fundamentet for en videreudvikling af det høje kvalitetsniveau i dansk forskning og på de videregående uddannelser samt arbejder for et godt internationalt samspil på både forsknings- og uddannelsesområdet.

Only applicants from the Nordic countries – Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Baltic countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania – and the autonomous regions of Åland, Southern Schleswig, the Faroe Islands and Greenland In order to receive a Nordplus Junior grant all activities must take place in one or more of the eight participating countries or in the autonomous regions listed above Class exchanges involving at least two or more groups of pupils or classes, from at least two participating Nordplus countries, wishing to work together on a joint theme within the objectives of the Nordplus programme A maximum of 30 pupils per country and a maximum of two accompanying teachers per 10 pupils Exchanges with a common theme of a pedagogical nature which is linked to curricula Exchanges implemented either within one year, two years or a maximum of three years Exchanges can range from one week (five working days and two travel days) and up to three weeks See "Handbook" in necessary documents for further information
