Research Project on the Danish-Icelandic reception of Nordic antiquity - A postdoctoral fellowship Two two-year postdoctoral fellowships on the subject of the Danish-Icelandic reception of Nordic antiquity from the Renaissance to national romanticism and modernism Two postdoctoral fellows: one fellow will be affiliated with the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle and focus on the fields of history, art history or ethnology. The other fellow will be affiliated with the National Museum of Iceland and the University of Iceland and focus on a field within comparative literature Applicants, who hold a PhD degree or have submitted the PhD thesis before 1 October Research projects illustrating the perception of the Nordic antiquity of different ages and how the Norse reception has been used to form a national as well as a Nordic identity Projects focusing on how Nordic antiquity has been perceived and applied in science as well as culture, literature and art, and how it has influenced the perception of identity and “nation building” during different periods General operating expenses with DKK 2,000 per month
