With Visiting Scholarships for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, and scientists employed by a Danish University or a Danish public research institution, at the Center for Interface Science and Catalysis at Stanford University and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SUNCAT) Visiting Scholarship of a duration of 3-6 months (though shorter or longer visits may be granted) within the period 1st March 2019 to 31st December 2020 to carry out collaborative research within the field of theoretical or experimental energy science at SUNCAT By covering the expenses of visiting researchers at Stanford University. These expenses cover research facilities, bench fees, visa cost, access to labs, contributions to workshops, meetings, conferences, etc. With scholarship covering various administrative costs associated with the visit to Stanford, providing the visitor with desk space at the SUNCAT Center at Stanford or Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), giving access to lab facilities, library resources, network, etc. In addition to the “Visiting Slots”, the applicants have the possibility of receiving a prepaid travel grant of DKK 15,000. The travel grant can be used to help cover expenses for travel from Denmark to the SUNCAT research facility, for accommodation and daily expenses for food and local transport in connection with the stay at SUNCAT The Visiting scholarship program particularly encourages applicants who wish to investigate issues connected with the ongoing research efforts at SUNCAT, including modelling of catalytic, electro-catalytic or photo-electro catalytic reactions at surfaces, synchrotron experiments/X-ray studies related to surfaces and interfaces, synthesis and characterization of catalytic systems, atomic layer deposition, or electrochemical experimentation A host among SUNCAT scientists must be appointed to the visitor. The host will be responsible for the local arrangements of the visit. Beskrivelse

The granting of visit- ing months and travel grants for accepted candidates are assigned according to a first-come-first-served principle. This means that all applications that meet the criteria for funding under this program will receive funding up until the months in the “Visiting Slots” have been occupied or the funding allocated for travel grants have been used.
