Fondens formål
Fonden FABRIKKEN for Kunst og Design er et produktions- og videnscenter i København, hvor professionelle kunstnere og designere arbejder. Her bliver produceret alt fra videokunst, foto, maleri og digtsamlinger til skulpturer, møbler og balkjoler. FABRIKKEN huser 53 atelierer og en kæmpestor produktionshal, der også bliver udlejet til events. FABRIKKEN prioriterer formidling, international udveksling og netværk højt. Derfor faciliterer vi artist in residence-programmer, afholder den årlige kunstmesse Alt_Cph, samarbejder med lokale skoler om outreach-projekter og meget mere.

Professional artists and curators worldwide with WORLD WIDE AIR residency Copenhagen (Residency at FABRIKKEN in 1-3 month) With a large private studio at FABRIKKEN - a not-for-profit art community with studios for aorund 70 artists/designers, guided by the spirit of resource-sharing With a monthly stipend plus a fixed travel grant, shared accommodation in Copenhagen and a private studio at FABRIKKEN With priority to applications that strengthen knowledge sharing by including an educational and/or public aspect Knowledge sharing can be i.e. a master class for professional artists/curators, lecture, workshops for youths/schools, exhibition, talk, reading etc. By assisting with locating audiences and participants for master classes, workshops etc. With a programme that aims to ensure cultural exchange between professional agents on the Danish and international art scenes and a Danish audience With accommodation in Copenhagen - shared with a local host (artist/curator). As a resident you will have access to a private bedroom but share kitchen, bathroom etc. With access to FABRIKKENS event program and the all-important communal Wednesday lunches
